About Me

Jeannetta Collier

Jeannetta Collier is the founder of Imaginary Glass Ceiling. The definition of the term glass ceiling, is an unacknowledged, and ultimately illegal, barrier to advancement, especially for women and people of color. The metaphor has been used since the 1980's when it was coined as a phrase indicating that many professional women could not break through the " glass ceiling" to the upper level of management.

In a speaking style that only she possesses.  Jeannetta brings her engaging personality along with her powerful presence that will bring her audiences to the edge of their seat. She will help you to realization that your presents on earth is more than the space you currently occupy.

Ask yourself, are you living up to your full potential?  By accepting my challenge to live a purposeful life, you will ask yourself…. Why did it take me so long.

Jeannetta Collier is the founder or partner in multiple businesses within various industries.

“My goal is to impact as many lives through positive works in the act of service.   I firmly believe that we are here to serve and through service we as a people grow in knowledge and love.”

“When we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.”

My Life Journey

Like many of you, I have accomplished many things throughout my life. At the young age of 19, I had my only daughter and decided to go off to college. While attending college, I worked as a singer in a nightclub, modeled on runway and print. A few years later I moved out of state and got married. That is when I began working for a global real estate franchise corporation. Soon after, I had my son and about 15 years later I moved my family back to Texas. After moving, my career took off. I became an entrepreneur, started multiple businesses, dipped into politics, and well, the list truly goes on and on and on.
Recently, I had the pleasure of catching up with grade school friends which brought so much more joy and inspiration into my life. The reminiscing and laughs seemed to be never ending. One day, I and two of my old friend were talking and one brought up a memory from the day we graduated from high school. “Gail, we graduated and I looked up and you were gone, on your way to Houston.  I wonder what our life would have been like if we would have gotten into that car with you that day."
I had an opportunity and I knew at that moment I had to reach out and grab it before it was gone, even though if it was completely out of my comfort zone.  You see I am not different than many of you.  I am the little girl from Alta Mesa and the proud daughter for Virgil and Norris Grant, who encouraged me to go for my dreams and never stop pushing to get myself where I want to be.
